So I decided to go back to something sweet tonight. One of my coworkers ALWAYS brings overripe bananas that are perfect for baking. I’m a little sick of banana bread and banana muffins from making it too much a couple summers ago, so I opted for some banana chocolate chip cookies!
These are super soft with super yummy chunks of banana and chocolate. That’s all I’ve really got to say about them =P

Hi, I was just wondering how many cookies this made and also what the size range around the bananas was. (ie. 2 large bananas? 2 “normal” bananas? 2 small bananas?)

Hi Alex! I made this recipe so long ago I can’t remember, and since I’m vegan now, I don’t remake my recipes that use eggs or dairy. From what I can remember, these made maybe 2 dozen? And they’re two “normal” bananas =)

Can you please Veganize this?
Lisa Le says
Just replace egg with a flax egg or chia egg :) I just updated it for ya.

Hi Jess
Followed the receipe but my cookies turned out more like banana bread in the centre and didn’t crisp up like cookies. Is this expected?
Lisa Le says
Hi Vasudha! Yes they’re softer cookies :)

These are the worst!
They are far from cookies~
Next time skip the gross, gelatinous flax egg and add soda to bananas for a great rise… And- for a delightful COOKIE (Not cookie shsied bread.) So sad- and a huge waste of ingredients.

This is my friend’s favorite cookie. Also me! My favorite!!! I love making these!! They’re so simple and tasty since the ingredients are so easily accessible as a vegan. I make them all the time for my housing co-op. They get eaten so fast. :) They are so soft and doughy. ?

Lisa Le says
I do not, sorry! You could use Cronometer to calculate if you wanted to know.
