- 4 strawberries diced
- 1.5 tsp white granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup Earth's Own Barista Soy
- 1 tsp matcha powder ceremonial grade
- 1/4 cup boiling water
In your serving glass, add diced strawberries and granulated sugar. You can give it a quick mix and let sit for 5 minutes before smashing, or you can just smash immediately with the end of a rolling pin if you're impatient like me.
In a milk frother (or a clean french press), foam your plant milk using the cold froth setting (if using a french press, just push the filter up and down until foamy).
Prepare the matcha in a separate small bowl by whisking together 1 tsp matcha powder and 1/4 cup water. Whisk vigorously in a zig zag motion until foamy and matcha is dissolved in the water.
Add 1/2 cup ice to your glass, then pour the cold frothed milk over ice.
Add prepared matcha on top, and serve with a wide straw to enjoy the smashed strawberries
